China has initiated an exciting new chapter in space exploration with the launch of Shenzhou-19. This mission involves sending three astronauts to the Chinese space station, where they will conduct a multitude of scientific experiments. Scientific Experiments Aboard Shenzhou-19
During their time aboard the space station, the astronauts will conduct 86 different space science and technology experiments. According to Lin Xijiang, the deputy director of the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), these experiments will cover an array of areas, including space life sciences, microgravity physics, materials science, and new technologies in medicine.
Building a Lunar Future
One particularly intriguing experiment involves testing bricks made from simulated lunar soil under space conditions. The aim is to determine if these bricks can be effectively used for construction purposes on the Moon. If successful, they could play a significant role in the development of a permanent lunar research station, which Chinese authorities hope to complete by 2035. Using materials found on the Moon may present a more efficient solution than transporting building materials from Earth.
